Jill Odegaard MFA graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis MN in 1996 with her Masters of Fine Art degree focusing on papermaking and sculpture. Prior to her graduate studies, she majored in studio art with an emphasis in clay and earned a minor in Psychology at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead MN. Throughout her studio practice, Jill has utilized the medium of hand papermaking in both two dimensional and three-dimensional forms. Over the years she has exhibited her work from coast to coast and into Canada, conducted artist workshops in papermaking and engaged in community projects. Her community engagement work spans from large scale projects such as Woven Welcome to collaborations with the Autism Society of the Lehigh Valley, work with seniors at local assisted living facilities and school age children in community school settings.
